Scientific research has shown that Trauma-Focused CBT helps people process and recover from traumatic experiences. Memories from traumatic events are stored differently in our minds and bodies compared to our other memories. Trauma-focused CBT will help you make links between how your past experiences shaped how you feel and behave in the present and understand why certain reactions are neurobiologically normal and often, outside of our control - until that is, we understand and learn to manage our triggers and process these memories properly.
What Can I expect from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?
Cognitive insight and mind-only based processing can often not be enough to help our bodies feel safe again after trauma. Somatic Trauma therapy is a type of intervention that encourages you to work through traumatic experiences and chronic stress by focusing more on the physical body through breath and movement. I tailor and weave in somatic interventions to practice befriending your body's primal responses and grow in your awareness of how our body is conditioned to respond to the world around us and when it's defenses become active as a form of self-protection. As we learn to stay connected with our body, we gradually reconnect to our inner sense of safety and security and get our vitality back.

Introductory Call
A 15 minute call, at no cost to you, gives us both an opportunity to see if we think we could work well together and whether the approaches I draw upon are well suited to what you're hoping to get out of therapy.
Initial Consultation
In your initial appointment we’ll explore the challenges you’re currently facing and identify the therapy goals that matter to you most. We'll start to build a picture of how we can work together and what the path forward can look like.
Personal Investment: £80
1 : 1 Sessions
Should we decide to move forward together after your initial consultation, we can begin scheduling ongoing individual sessions. Individual sessions last up to 60 or 90 minutes.
Personal Investment for sessions up to 60 minutes: £80 / Up to 90 minutes: £120
